Pigment laser

A pigment laser targets excess melanin. On Moroccan phototypes, settings and the number of passes are adjusted cautiously: the main risk of a poorly dosed laser is new pigmentation.

Duration
20 to 30 min
Protocol
1 to 3 sessions depending on the lesion, outside summer

Indications

  • Sun spots
  • Lentigines
  • Uneven tone

How it goes

  1. Examining the lesions

Any suspicious pigmented lesion is referred to a dermatologist before any aesthetic treatment.

  2. The laser session

Eye protection, a test on a small area, then treatment of the selected spots.

  3. Aftercare

Spots darken then flake over one to two weeks. Strict sun protection is essential.

Frequently asked questions

Can it be done in summer?

It is not recommended. Recently sun-exposed skin responds poorly, and post-session sun avoidance is hard to maintain in summer.
