Preparing for a thread lift
A single procedure under local anaesthetic, with a few days of social downtime. What to prepare, what to watch for, and what threads do not replace.
Thread lifts
Threads support the tissue and stimulate collagen production along their path. The indication is narrow: they suit moderate laxity, not markedly distended skin. When laxity exceeds what they can hold, referral to a surgeon is the right answer.
Examination, discussion of your request, screening for contraindications and a written plan. No procedure is carried out on the day of the first consultation: the time to think it over is yours.
Disinfection, local anaesthesia, then the threads are passed under the skin through very small entry points. The session is longer than an injection and takes place under strict aseptic conditions.
Tightness, swelling and sometimes bruising for one to two weeks. You are asked to avoid marked facial movements, sport and facial treatments during that period. The threads then resorb.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, an active skin infection, some autoimmune conditions and certain medications are among them. They are checked in consultation, not ticked on a form — and they can lead to a refusal.
No. Threads support moderate laxity; they remove no skin and do not replace a surgical procedure. When laxity exceeds what threads can support, honesty means saying so and referring you to a surgeon.
No result can be guaranteed: it depends on your skin, your age, your lifestyle and the indication retained. What can be stated is what the procedure aims at and what it does not do. The rest is discussed in consultation, in front of your face rather than a photograph.
Getting ready
What is asked before the session, what to tell us, and what the aftermath looks like.

This page is informative. It does not replace a medical consultation and is not a promise of results: outcomes and suitability depend on each person.
Keep going

Controlled heating of deep tissue, aimed at firmness, with no downtime.

A laser fibre passed under the skin, for localised laxity of the lower face.

Restoring facial volume where support is lost over time.
The initial consultation examines, explains and proposes a written plan. It commits you to nothing.
