Laser hair removal and darker skin: what your phototype changes
On darker skin, both the skin and the hair contain melanin. Why the wavelength, the settings and the sun decide how safe a session is.

Understanding treatments
A first consultation is not about setting a date. It is about examining, ruling out contraindications, and sometimes saying no.
The request often arrives fully formed: an area, a product, sometimes a photograph. Yet the consultation starts elsewhere — with an examination of the face at rest and in movement, and a series of questions that are anything but formal.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, an active skin infection, some autoimmune conditions, certain medications: each of these rules out some or all of the possible procedures. They are checked in consultation, not ticked on a form.
A hollow under the eyes, a marked fold and a loss of cheek volume are not treated in the same place, nor with the same product, and sometimes not at all. A request matching no indication is not carried out — and the refusal is explained.
The first consultation ends with a written quote and time to think. That delay is not a commercial precaution: it is the time needed to decide away from the momentum of a conversation.
