Preparing for a PRP session (face or scalp)
PRP starts from your own blood: preparation therefore begins the day before, at the table. What hydration and fasting change about the draw.
Hair
The session begins with an examination of the scalp and the story of the hair loss, then continues with a treatment matched to what was observed. It serves as much to treat as to establish the starting point for follow-up.
Examination, discussion of your request, screening for contraindications and a written plan. No procedure is carried out on the day of the first consultation: the time to think it over is yours.
Examination of the scalp, history of the loss and, most often, blood tests. An iron deficiency or a thyroid disorder is treated first: no local procedure compensates for a general cause.
The protocol runs over several months, with closely spaced sessions that are then spread out. Hair grows slowly: nothing can be judged before three to four months, and photographic follow-up serves as an objective reference.
A numbing cream is applied beforehand and most products contain a local anaesthetic. The sensation is most often described as pressure, sometimes a brief sting.
Pregnancy, breastfeeding, an active skin infection, some autoimmune conditions and certain medications are among them. They are checked in consultation, not ticked on a form — and they can lead to a refusal.
No result can be guaranteed: it depends on your skin, your age, your lifestyle and the indication retained. What can be stated is what the procedure aims at and what it does not do. The rest is discussed in consultation, in front of your face rather than a photograph.
Getting ready
What is asked before the session, what to tell us, and what the aftermath looks like.

This page is informative. It does not replace a medical consultation and is not a promise of results: outcomes and suitability depend on each person.

The initial consultation examines, explains and proposes a written plan. It commits you to nothing.
